One Down, 179 to go

School started today at my house. Since it is 217 degrees down in Hotlanta*,I thought we should sit in the cool air conditioner and start our studies. I am a big fan of ending school in early May, so we start in early August to make that possible.

This year we are traveling to Ancient Rome for history, so I started the school year teaching in a toga.

My costume is historically accurate, which is why I haven't taken a shower and I am not wearing make-up, lol!

I am also starting Asher in Kindergarten, so this will be my first year officially juggling three kids' school schedules. Whew!!

We ended our first day of school by enjoying gyros at the mall. We had a great day, overall. I hope the momentum continues and "si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes."

*hyperbole

Did you wear the toga to the mall? I miss you. I want to talk to you. I'm calling you. Tomorrow.

Love,
Me.

Wait a minute... Gyros are Greek, are they not?

You are such a cool mom! I think N and I should go over and study ancient Rome with you guys. Things around here are just not going to be so fun! (I can do the no shower and no make-up. It's the toga that is hard!!)
