Valentine's

Years ago I decided that Valentine's was no longer going to be a "romantic" holiday. I wanted to celebrate the kiddos that all that romance got us into in the first place. I didn't want to hire a sitter to eat in a crowded restaurant. Now we always spend it as a family. Sometimes we have gone out to eat, but many years we have just stayed home and had a fun meal. We make cards for each other and eat a special dessert. It's always so much more fun and relaxed that way.

I was thinking about what I could make tomorrow and I decided on Spaghetti and Meatballs. I'll make the Basic Marinara from Cooking Light and my meatballs from The Mitford Cookbook. I'm going to attempt to make heart-shaped meatballs, but I imagine they won't turn out. Maybe we will even watch Lady and the Tramp.

My real excitement when I think about Valentine's is Watson. I have a date with him at 7:30 tomorrow night, and I am a little giddy about it. I even have my outfit planned out- my hubby's IBM shirt and pajama bottoms.

So to all my friends, family, blog readers and robots out there- Happy Valentine's!!!
