Daddy Daughter Dance and other fun...

I had a really great weekend. Saturday we had some family time in the morning and then I got some stuff done around the house. Then I got my girls ready to go out on a date with their dad. Rachel's dance studio has a "Daddy Daughter Dance" every year around Valentine's. It's something Rachel and Rosie look very much forward to every year. This year was no exception. The girls looked beautiful, of course. Aaron came to pick them up and off they went for a night of dinner and dancing.






After I sent my girls off I went and had a bit of a girls night of my own. I had dinner with some friends and we took a "Spiritual Gifts Quiz". Honestly, the results have had me a little frustrated, but overall I had a great time with lovely, godly women. I also received a present I am ecstatic about!

You know someone loves you when they get you a gift you actually have sitting in your Amazon cart, but you are too practical to buy it for yourself! I have been wanting this book for awhile now, and it does not disappoint! I was crying in chapter 1 and just thanking God for how He has blessed me. Ann Voscamp is an incredible writer and I really think every women should read this! (This is my "thank you" for my wonderful gift, dear friend!)

After an awesome church service on Sunday morning, Aaron vacuumed my car while I went shopping. What a treat! True confession time: it's been almost a year since my car was vacuumed. Yikes. But now the inside is clean, so YEA!

Then we watched the Super Bowl at my friend Kelleigh's house, and honestly- I think this was the most fun I've ever had watching the game. Our kids had a blast, the food was good and the atmosphere was comfortable and fun. I didn't really care about the game this year, but I was so glad to have some down time with church friends.
