I'm leaving on a jetplane, don't know when I'll be back again...

Not really, I'm not going anywhere on a jet plane.

But in school we are exiting Egypt. Or should I say Exodus, lol. I am so excited we are moving on to Greece, as they establish themselves as the new world order in our text and literature books. Egypt has been tough, as I never really studied it myself in school it was difficult to teach.

So my advice- read up as much as you can on subjects you know nothing about BEFORE you try to present them to your kids. Can't tell you how many times I would stop in the middle of a lesson to look up on Wiki how to pronounce a pharaoh's name.

The kids loved Egypt though. And to make it fun for me I made them these cute costumes. When we would read a story they would dress up and act it out. It really helped.

Asher is a pharoah, Rosie is a priest and Rachel is a commoner. Fun times!

But moving on, because as they say in Greek, "Veni, vidi, vici."

Oh my, how cute and what a fun way to get through a potentially dry subject. You are one amazing home school mom.

I love Egypt. Truly. But if I could go anywhere in the world before I die, it would be Greece. For real.

So... any time you'd like a tag along on Greek related experiences, call me. I'm all in!
