Summer Bridge

On a homeschooling note, this summer I'm having Rachel go through the Summer Bridge workbook. She's also supposed to read 30 minutes a day.

I was talking to Jennifer and she mentioned how Ethan is hating this workbook. I remembered last year doing Bob Jones summer workbook, and Rachel hated it. So we just didn't do it.

But for some reason this year Rachel really got into it. I think a great thing was setting a goal at the beginning. She decided for June, if she finished 15 pages and read for thirty minutes a day she would earn a trip to Bruster's.

So on Monday we took our earned trip for some ice cream. We had our friend Sophia and her mom Carol join us for the fun!
